Basuri Dutta

Basuri Dutta practiced law before the Bombay High Court with several appearances before the Indian Supreme Court. While her domain has primarily been constitutional law, she also has experience in matters pertaining to industrial and labour laws, public trust, elections, environmental and copyright laws, among other areas. 

In the discipline of Human Resources, Basuri has worked with Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., as a part of the corporate human resources team. 

Before joining Great Place to Work in 2007, Basuri was a Lead Researcher on a research project in the areas of intellectual property with specific focus on copyright law, at S.J. Mehta School of Management, at IIT Bombay. 

At Great Place to Work Basuri anchored two national studies on Best Workplaces in India, significantly contributing to making the study the largest of its kind in India. As a part of this study, Basuri focused on the workplace cultures of hundreds of organisations, and has advised senior managers in many others. Basuri successfully designed and implemented employee survey projects in India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. 

Basuri holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law and she has done her MBA in HR from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management in Pune. Her interests include adventure treks, travel, photography and music. A backpack and a few books are all that are required to get Basuri going to different parts of the world!
