2010 Best Workplaces in Portugal

The Best Workplaces in Portugal List was published, and includes 30 companies.

The ranking’s first position was conquered by Microsoft, but within dimension (size) Remax was the winner in the category on “more than 1000 employees; Cisco in the category “from 100 to 250 employees”, BMW Group Portugal in “less than 100 employees and finally, Microsoft won the category “from 250 to 1000 employees”.

This year’s innovation was the recognition of the strong presence (7) of national companies within the ranking. GMS Consulting was the winner, being considered as the Best Workplace within national companies.

One of the great winners of this year’s edition is Cisco, which won in 4 different categories: Best Workplace from 100 to 250 employees; Best Workplace for Women, and the special awards “Corporate Social Responsibility” and “Learning & Leadership for Sustainability”

For the third successive year Microsoft Portugal has been considered the Best Workplace in Portugal, followed by Liberty Seguros, Everis Portugal, GMS Consulting, ROFF, Mars Portugal, Cushman&Wakefield, Janssen-Cilag, Chep, Procter&Gamble, SAS Institute, Outsystems, HUF, Diageo Portugal, Medtronic Portugal, Siscog, Leadership Bc, Johnson’s Wax, Abbot, Teleperformance Portugal, Bacardi Martini Portugal, Deloitte, ANA – Aeroportos de Portugal, Pricewaterhousecoopers, José Júlio Jordão, Sistemas McDonald’s and Barclays Bank. These 30 companies, form diverse industries complete the Portuguese Best Workplaces ranking 2010

Great Place to Work^® Institute also recognized companies that are successful within the level of satisfaction of specific groups of employees. In this sense, Cisco won the “Women” award, Everis won the “Executives” award and GMS Consulting won the “Younger” award.
