Great Place to Work® is proud to release its 5th annual list of the Best Workplaces in Asia. Great Place to Work® has identified the top organizations that create great workplaces in the Asia and the Middle East regions through publishing the annual Best Workplaces in Asia for the year 2019. The list recognizes companies in three size categories:

  1. 25 Best Multinational Organizations
  2. 25 Best Large Workplaces in Asia 2019 (501+ Employees)
  3. 25 Best Small & Medium Workplace in Asia 2019 (20-500 Employees)

To be considered for inclusion, companies must appear on one or more of our national lists in one of these countries (Greater China, India, Japan, South Korea, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Sri Lanka and United Arab Emirates) represented on the list and meet our minimum quantitative threshold on the Trust Index© survey. Please note that the ranking of Asia 2019 is based on the India assessment conducted in FY 2017-18 and the assessment for FY 2018-19 will be considered for Asia 2020 ranking.

More than 1,200 organizations were eligible to be considered for the honors this year. We are delighted that the companies in India have a great representation among the best workplaces in the Asia region and are committed to building a Great Place to Work FOR ALL.

Getting Great Place to Work – Certified™ is the 1st step to creating a Great Workplace Culture

Every year, more than 10,000 organizations from over 58 countries partner Great Place to Work® Institute for assessment, benchmarking and planning actions to strengthen their workplace culture. Great Place to Work® Institute’s methodology is recognized as rigorous and objective and is considered as the gold standard for defining great workplaces across business, academia and government organizations.

Great Place to Work® Institute invites applications from BFSI organizations to be assessed and evaluated for being considered among ‘India’s Best Workplaces in BFSI’ study. As part of this assessment, the organizations are studied through two lenses. The first lens measures the quality of employee experience through our globally validated survey instrument known as Trust Index©. The survey helps in seeking anonymous feedback from employees and carries 2/3rd weightage. The second lens is called Culture Audit©, which is a proprietary tool of the Institute that evaluates the quality of people practices of an organization, covering the entire employee life-cycle. This carries 1/3rd weightage.

The Institute undertakes a robust validation process on the data gathered through the assessment process and also validates that the organization is a ‘Great Place to Work for All’ i.e. all employees irrespective of their age, tenure, role, gender etc. in the organization are having a consistent experience in the organization. The cumulative score of Trust Index© and Culture Audit© determines an organization’s inclusion in India’s Best Workplaces in BFSI 2019. No individual or jury has a say in who makes it to the list – only employee feedback and quality of people practice determine if an organization is a great workplace. These are being published in alphabetical order.
