Project Marketplace is Tata Communication's talent platform that is instrumental in providing the organization with a competitive advantage by creating an internal freelance network/skill marketplace within the organization. It has helped create alternate avenues for the workforce. Any employee from any corner of the globe can post a piece of work (project) in the marketplace.
<div> At the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic before lockdown was officially announced, they advised all employees (except essential service role) to start WFH. A cross-functional & cross-geography team of senior leaders was formed to create Business Continuity Plan (BCP) which ensured smoother transition to WFH for employees and customers. All employees (including off-roll and contractors) were enabled to work from home: company transported desktop, facilitated internet connection, wherever required. Few days into lockdown, we conducted pulse survey to align company’s effort to employees’ expectation.<span style="font-size: 1rem;"> </span></div> <div><br><o:p></o:p></div>
Despite its operating in an extremely challenging external environment, it has deployed forward-looking policies and practices and invested hugely in transforming employees' skills and capabilities.
