1. What is your personal approach to making a Great Workplace?
My personal approach towards a Great Workplace is inspired by Apollo Munich’s philosophy of CARE, which stands for our belief in being Compassionate, Accountable, Responsive and Expert. This transcends into all our people processes. I inspire my leaders to take care of employees, nourish relationships beyond transaction and help them learn and grow in the organization.

2. What are the top 2 benefits you see of creating a Great Workplace?
Our 9 times in a row recognition by Great Place to Work® is a testament of our employees’ trust in the organization. Being a Great Place to Work helps us keep our employees happy and engaged which in turn enables them to deliver their best at the workplace. Such recognition also helps the organization strengthen its employer brand and attract top-quality talent from the market place.

3. What are your top people priorities?
As the organization is growing exponentially, I am excited to see our internal talent grow their career, take up bigger responsibilities and be a part of Apollo Munich’s growth story. We want our people to experience delightful employee journey with technology-enablement and simplified people processes. Leadership Development and talent upskilling is another key focus area for us as ours is a manpower intensive industry.

With more than 10 years in the industry, 180+ offices across the country and 4000+ employees, we have come a long way. To keep pace with this fascinating growth, we continuously challenge our people philosophy to ensure our people experience nothing but the best. Great Place to Work® survey acts as a medium for our employees to share their feedback and gives us a perspective on where we stand wrt our people practices and the opportunity areas to raise the bar. The benchmark study coupled with the voice of our employees, act as a critical input into our talent strategy.

1. What can your present and potential employees be sure of from a work culture perspective in the organization?
As an employer with 9 years’ continuous presence in the Great Places to Work® list, Apollo Munich has all that employee expects from a merit-driven and a caring organization. The principles of Pride, Camaraderie, Credibility, Respect and Fairness are well embedded into the culture of the organization which ensures employee experiences a transparent, respectful and caring work culture with leaders playing the role of mentors to help talent learn and grow.

2. What, according to you, is a people challenge your industry is facing?
Among the many trends reshaping the industry’s landscape, technological advancement is at the forefront. This has impacted the way we attract and develop talent. To thrive in the competitive landscape and meet evolving customer expectations, our people need to skill, un-skill and re-skill. With digital disrupting the way to do our business, it is also impacting the way we upskill our employees. We have transformed our learning experience with AMLearn - our Digital Playbook. We have made it simple, user-driven, byte-sized and engaging.
To overcome the challenge of maintaining a talent pipeline, we are constantly looking for High Potential talent, both in the customer interfacing roles and the enabling roles in Corporate office. Our philosophy of ‘Hire and Train’ manifests itself best in our Young Managers Program and SUMMIT, wherein we hire best in class young managers.

3. How are you ensuring a consistent workplace experience FOR ALL your employees, irrespective of their role, age, gender, tenure etc. in the organization?
Apollo Munich as an employer has a strong faith in the principle of equality and appreciation for diversity in the workplace. Be it workplace diversity in terms of geography, regional diversity or gender diversity; Apollo Munch consciously ensures that people experience consistent treatment. Towards this, the organization has programs that focus on promoting gender diversity (Women Enabled) and program on hiring and engaging specially-abled talent. With the organization that has three fourth of its workforce in the field, technology places an important role to ensure people get unified experience on learning and appreciation. Initiatives like Kudos – our Digital R&R platform and AMLearn – Digital Playbook are two such successful initiatives.
