1. What is your personal approach to making a Great Workplace?
Happy and engaged employees who are always committed to creating a positive impact are the heart and soul of a great organization. A Great Workplace hires with a purpose, welcomes to integrate people into its culture, keeps inspiring to make work meaningful and promotes an open communication culture. Such an organisation cares for the employees, appreciates work done well, fosters a development culture and provides work-life balance. Furthermore, it celebrates even the small moments, rewards performance, gives back to the community and makes its leaders lead by example.

2. What are the top 2 benefits you see of creating a Great Workplace?
First and foremost, a Great Workplace has a high happiness quotient and this, in turn, derives from lower stress and conflicts, and greater harmony and achievements.
Next, a great place to work acts as a brand statement when hiring high achieving and like-minded employees. It attracts great employees and provides them with a satisfying work environment for their success.

3. What are your top people priorities?
• Working in a service segment that has been excluded from such financial services requires people with an exceptional commitment to the cause and vision of the company. We hence hire, encourage and reward for this attitude to serve and to deliver against challenges.
• Building Skills through training and mentoring – to enable operational excellence is high on our people program priorities.
• Recognition of performance is another key priority for us. We do not offer a high financial reward but we make it up through recognition and appreciation right through the month for our hardworking achievers.

1. What can your present and potential employees be sure of from a work culture perspective in the organization?
Aye’s vision is “To be a leading finance company in India, admired by Customers, Employees, Investors and Regulators for its Service and Innovations”. This statement is our guideline - every decision is measured against this touchstone, and examined if it brings us closer to our dream. We hold our 5 values – service, innovative, trustworthy, mentoring and social good – very close to our heart.

Our Leadership is highly approachable and development is a key attribute of our internal ecosystem. Accelerated growth is one of our pride points and many of our people have grown internally to take up leadership positions. “Do it right the first time” is our mantra but we promote intelligent risks. Our culture is open and we encourage instant dialogue.

2. What, according to you, is a people challenge your industry is facing?
Talent attraction, development and retention are the biggest challenges in our industry. Our people must be highly proficient in their jobs. They must have an amazing knowledge of our products, processes and the industry. The challenge becomes even more difficult when this talent is scattered across many locations and needs on-ground developmental interventions that are centralized by design but localized when executed.

3. How are you ensuring a consistent workplace experience FOR ALL your employees, irrespective of their role, age, gender, tenure etc. in the organization?
We are gender-neutral, region-agnostic and hierarchy-less. We treat all our employees with equal respect irrespective of their demographics. We are present in 18 states/UTs and yet everyone at Aye is part of one big Aye family. Performance and attitude are our only criteria for growth. Other personal attributes just do not matter. Regardless of the demographics, we instil a culture of coaching over reproaching and have a transparent 360-degree feedback mechanism. We believe in giving equal growth opportunities to all and every voice is heard at Aye.
