Culture Through Attire

The employees travelling for Business reasons abroad represent Ericsson’s Culture to the outer world. Keeping this in view, employees are advised to upgrade to best business attire which includes clothing, travel bags, suitcase, shoes, etc. The employees are reimbursed the amount spent on purchase of the above-said items to the maximum of INR 10,000/- against submission of bills.

Ericsson India has brought to life the abstract concept of the Living Library by providing a global platform for connections and relationship building. In a Living Library, books are people and reading is a conversation. They have close to 90 books in their library, and just as in an ordinary library, visitors may browse for books (i.e. interesting people to connect with) and select one or several books that appeal to them, make a reservation to check out that book for a limited time (i.e. sign up for a meeting with the individual), read it (listen/talk/discuss/be inspired), and return it. The Living Library gives them the chance to reach beyond the surface to get to know someone they have never met before, share experiences, challenges and passions to build understanding and expand their network.

I think Ericsson is a fabulous, large, complex, matrix, democratic, professionally run organization. It tests all individuals for every skill they have and ensures only the best & brightest progress to higher levels.
