At GHCL Limited, Intra-employee interaction is not only encouraged, but celebrated. MILAP (Medium for Interactive, Lateral and Actionable Partnership) is a platform provided to all employees to interact informally, share their suggestions which add value to the existing work environment and help building the organization. This practice is essentially aimed at developing various managerial capabilities of employees such as People Development, Cost Consciousness, Organising Skills and Administrative Abilities by engaging them in various task committees formed as part of MILAP. The programme is a true reflection of the organisation’s effort to nurture employee interactions and align their people towards organisational objectives.
At GHCL, employees are encouraged to think beyond their functional role and responsibilities and to attend to larger organizational issues. This is achieved through Committee Culture; wherein cross-functional employees come together and take ownership of resolving issues which are important for organizational excellence.For each issue, a separate committee is formed that has a predefined objective and is expected to work on the objective all year around. Additionally,employees build their competencies and understand group dynamics by participating in these activities and are even rewarded for their efforts through extra increment and VIKAS points.
