What better way to inspire and motivate employees than bringing out and highlighting internal stories of success! Meet the Stars is a series of interviews at Gabriel of team members who have completed more than 5 years and have demonstrated exceptional performance and growth. Each month these members are interviewed by the HR team and these stories are documented and shared across all locations. In addition, the interviews are also displayed on the notice boards at each plant. The series serves as an excellent recognition tool and an inspiration to the younger talent at Gabriel.

There seems to be unity amongst all of us, working in a team. People support and compliment each other. That makes me emotionally attached to the organisation.

1. What is your personal approach to making a Great Workplace?
Our Business philosophy articulated by the founder chairman "Business is 90% People" says it all. I personally believe that every employee should feel respected and should get freedom & opportunity to develop self with a continuous focus on business results, which makes our people happy. And Happy faces ultimately results in Great Place to Work.

2. What are the top 2 benefits you see of creating a Great Workplace?
Workplace satisfaction for Employees: We have seen a positive trend in the top-line as well as bottom-line year on year, as a result of teams that are aligned in their thought process and are eager to perform above and beyond the call of duty. Also helps in the retention of talent.

Business Performance: Highly motivated employees result in highly engaged teams which in turn result in an increasing trend in our Business growth.

3. What are your top people priorities?
To create a workplace where people look forward to coming every day and are inspired to achieve great things together.

4. How has your association with Great Place to Work® helped your business and strategic goals?
Great Place to Work® does offer us a very unbiased and thorough assessment of our people practices and if they are in sync with our values. It gives us a clear picture on the ground and helps us make improvements in our processes & the way we work. 1. What can your present and potential employees be sure of from a work culture perspective in the organization?
With the philosophy of "Business is 90% People", our employees can be sure of Building Organization Capability through various Talent Development initiatives designed and implemented for them. Our employees can be sure of Humane touch which is in our DNA and it is our commitment to adhere to the same.

2. What, according to you, is a people challenge your industry is facing?
The biggest people challenge, I feel is the alignment in the thought process of Gen X & Gen Y. Young talent comes up with a dynamic thought process and we, as a great place to work need to create avenues to bridge the gap for the same.

3. How are you ensuring a consistent workplace experience FOR ALL your employees, irrespective of their role, age, gender, tenure etc. in the organization?
Standardization of processes and policies is a key which is definitely proving in providing unique standardized experience to all our employees.

4. How has your association with Great Place to Work® helped your business and strategic goals?
Great Place to Work® being offering a fair analysis of our people practices, is helping us improve our processes in a better way and making our employees feel happy and satisfied with the work environment. It helps us know the ground reality which further helps us in articulating our actions towards making Gabriel a Great Place to Work.
