1. What is your personal approach to making a Great Workplace?
John Deere Technology Centre’s mission is to provide strategic advantage to the enterprise. Technology Centre is an amalgamation of diverse capabilities and competencies. Taking a multifunctional approach focusing on leveraging strengths of this diverse environment is a key focus. This essentially translates in creating meaningful work at an individual level.

2. What are the top 2 benefits you see of creating a Great Workplace?
An engaged workforce is essential for business growth. Creating a great place to work has, in turn, helped us build an organization where we are delivering consistent value to our customers by helping them be more satisfied, profitable and efficient. At an individual level, we see this exhibiting employee satisfaction, Pride for the organization, Retention, and Advocacy to the external world.

Building an Intrapreneurial Mindset - Develop Business Acumen that enables risk-taking and meaningful innovation Talent Pipeline focused on creating a global technical talent.

1. What can your present and potential employees be sure of from a work culture perspective in the organization?
Our employees can expect meaningful work, both on the professional front and at the social front, being in the noble profession of agriculture. The company culture is driven by John Deere’s core values of Integrity, Quality, Innovation, and Commitment.

2. What, according to you, is a people challenge your industry is facing?
Fast changing skills landscape keeps employees in demand as well as turns them obsolete. This poses a big challenge with respect to attract, retain and reskill employees.

3. How are you ensuring a consistent workplace experience FOR ALL your employees, irrespective of their role, age, gender, tenure, etc. in the organization?
John Deere does not differentiate between employees. However, we also try to keep HR offerings as per our talent segment. Thereby ensuring each employee segment gets what he/she values. This way we give a differentiated yet consistent employee experience.

4. How has your association with Great Place to Work® helped your business and strategic goals?
Being in the elite group of Top 50 organizations certainly positions us as an employer of choice. However, we find the process of certification as valuable as the result as it helps us benchmark our people practices and stay ahead of the game.
