1. What is your personal approach to making a Great Workplace?
My personal approach is to constantly mentor my team on the Mahindra values and living the Rise philosophy of accepting no limits, alternative thinking and driving positive change. I firmly believe that these values and ethos of how we work in Mahindra have helped us manage turbulent times, develop deep and long-lasting relationships with our employees and transform ourselves into a great place to work.

2. What are the top 2 benefits you see of creating a Great Workplace?
Mahindra & Mahindra has been ranked among Top 50 organizations in Great Place to Work® India Study for a consecutive 7th time in a row. Being a part of this prestigious study and having being recognised as a ‘great workplace’ has helped to instil a sense of pride in our people. This goes a long way to attract and retain talent.

1. What can your present and potential employees be sure of from a work culture perspective in the organization?
Our present and potential employees could be sure that it is a workplace that offers highly challenging work and rewards for accomplishing it. Also, we take immense pride in making people see a larger purpose of bringing a positive change in the lives of our stakeholders and communities across the world.

2. What, according to you, is a people challenge your industry is facing?
The biggest challenge I see for the industry is to keep pace with changes largely being driven by external factors and how do we continuously enable our people through reskilling and enhancing their capabilities.

3. How are you ensuring a consistent workplace experience FOR ALL your employees, irrespective of their role, age, gender, tenure etc. in the organization?
We have a very strong belief that for any consistent workplace experience which is increasingly getting very diverse, inclusive culture with a sensitive leadership at all levels is the key. In such an environment every individual in the organization is able to create a space for himself/herself to self-actualise. Technology has also been a very big enabler in providing consistency to the employee experience.

4. How has your association with Great Place to Work® helped your business and strategic goals?
Great Place to Work® India Study has provided us with critical insights into our people practices related to process design and actual experience by employees. Validation of our people practices by an external assessor provides us with a mirror to reflect & learn. Having participated for over 7 years, Great Place to Work® has given us a vivid picture of our strengths, improvement areas and guided our actions for people practices.
