An online cultural encyclopaedia teaches the employees about their own preferences and allows to compare them with those of more than 150 countries. Thus, creating an understanding of differences. Further, Marriott offers special language learning programs to help employees further hone their language skills.

At Marriott, it is mandatory for each hotel unit to partner with a local NGO to engage in community service and drive our spirit to serve the culture. The aim of this initiative is not restricted to provide a monetary benefit, but to engage their associate in-kind donation of their time and hotel contributes by giving food and beverage, gifts or other necessary resources to support the NGO’s need.

I am empowered to do my best in this company. My efforts are always recognized and I am doing my best because management here believes in people. It is really a great place to work.

1. What is your personal approach to making a Great Workplace?
I believe in genuinely caring for people and making small gestures to demonstrate the care and that I am invested in their professional and personal wellbeing. It is my mantra and it resonates with our company culture.

An engaged workforce that is happy to be part of the organizational journey brings benefits that are multi-fold. The key benefit I would highlight are-
- Customer Service / Operational Excellence.
- People invested in the Company’s growth results in increased top-line and resulting in better bottom line.

3. What are your top people priorities?
- NEXT Gen Talent- This is a significant part of our Talent Acquisition and Development strategy which helps us to drive key tactical initiatives to acquire, retain and grow our current and potential talent.
- Being agile in our people development and growth practices in the market to enable us to mobilize our internal talent quickly to support this exponential growth.
- Succession Planning and Leadership Development Programs will be in high on priority to fuel future demand for new openings.
