At Sriram Value Services, the Life 360 program supports employees who go on sabbatical to fulltime parenting, to ‘off-ramp’ from their careers for up to one year. Through coaching, training, and regular updates they stay connected to the firm. Employees who have been on leave for more than 16 weeks have the option to opt out of the annual performance review process and instead carry over the ratings of the previous year. When employees return after a break, equipping them to step back into the game is essential for them to adapt to the changes and be rest assured of a fair assessment.

1. What is your personal approach to making a Great Workplace?
Great workplaces are built on great work culture. And, we believe that the rich work culture that we have built over the years form an integral part of our organization. Making employees as our most pivotal factor of strength and the most important asset of our organization makes Shriram value services a great workplace. Personally, I feel heightened employee morale and a positive social interaction makes a workplace great for its employees.

2. What are the top 2 benefits you see of creating a Great Workplace?
A happy workforce and positive brand identity in the industry. Both these translate down to making our business grow.

3. What are your top people priorities?
Constant employee engagement in a more unique manner and employee motivation are the topmost people priorities that our organization looks at. Major thrust is laid on attracting and retaining the best talents. We cultivate a learning environment to develop a highly competitive workforce in the market.

4. How has your association with Great Place to Work® helped your business and strategic goals?
Being associated with Great Place to Work® has helped us in many aspects especially to relook on some of our initiatives and goals. In addition, we are propelled to raise our bar in people centricity. We level up with more visibility that is resultant of being recognized as Great Place to Work.

1. What can your present and potential employees be sure of from a work culture perspective in the organization?
All our present and potential employees of our organization get to nourish their knowledge and skills every day of their work. The learning culture that has been built in the organization makes it conducive for every employee to benchmark their own skills and work towards amplifying their abilities constantly.

2. What, according to you, is a people challenge your industry is facing?
Short-term gains are something that drives the new gen workforce or the millennials. The faster pace in which they expect their career to turn-around is the biggest challenge that this industry is facing. This poses a threat to employee retention and instability in their career decisions.

3. How are you ensuring a consistent workplace experience FOR ALL your employees, irrespective of their role, age, gender, tenure etc. in the organization?
The experience that an employee gets from the workplace is reflective of the innate culture that is bred in the organization. As an HR, the onus is on us to provide the best workplace experience that influences each employee positively. For this to happen, it is an all-around measure taken towards all of our employees` growth, learning, motivation and progress along with our organization. And, this signifies the consistency in creating a positive workplace experience that is built within Shriram Value Services of our employees.

4. How has your association with Great Place to Work® helped your business and strategic goals?
Absolutely, the association is very fruitful as it had made us question and gauge some of our ideologies and evaluate those based on which we had refined and enhanced the way we've been operating a few things. Getting to know what our employees feel about being here and how best we can work towards fulfilling their expectations of being a ‘People-centric’ organization is by far the best part of this association.
