As an organization, they are perhaps the first in the world to leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI)- based algorithm for addressing the matter of Diversity bias during the screening stage while hiring. All Hiring Managers get to see the “Masked” resume, where any identifier related to Gender like Name, Email ID, Photo, Linked ID, any Pronouns (e.g. He / She) are masked. Hiring Managers get to see only a reconstituted profile (which looks different from the CV), and shows only the Skills, Qualifications and Experience of the candidate. Post their shortlisting approval, they are expected to necessarily interview these profile.
At TATA Communications, Pathfinders is a semi-automated social program which creates a human experience by sending a brief background on the new joiner to team managers and other employees. This opens a window to not just welcome new joiners to the family but also give them tips that would make their first few days easier and memorable. Through a well-designed communication plan, a checklist of key things to do is sent on the 10th, 20th, 30th, 45th and 90th day which helps the new joiner in their journey.
