Car Pool Policy

The policy provides support to employees commuting to the office using a car pool. Under this policy, Parijat contributes 1/3 of the total running cost of a car up to a maximum of Rs. 8000 per month, basis the approval of the terms and conditions.

Parijat encourages Team Leads to appreciate all excellent work done by sending an instant e-mail of THANKS GIVING. Parijat also offers easy-to use HRMS software tool to help supervisors/Managers under the scheme of “REWARD POINTS FOR EXCELLENCE” and reward employees instantly for a job well done. With this scheme, supervisors or managers have a monthly reward point budget for his/her department. Employee can collect reward points to be redeemed for exciting rewards & experiences offered by XOXO day Rewards accounts of Parijat.

Parijat has a multicultural environment and there are no limitations for growth. It has been more than 9 months since I have been associated with the company and have always been encouraged to stretch myself, improve my knowledge and develop new skills. The work environment here has always supported me to develop and make a difference. Also, the Management Team is very good at ensuring that the suggestions and opinions of employees are included in the company planning process.

1. What is your personal approach to making a Great Workplace? 
As a first-generation entrepreneur with a professional history of being a salaried employee in a company the simple and only rule I have towards work culture is to always be highly respectful of every member of the team no matter what their position in the organizational hierarchy. I have built my company hand in hand with my team and for me, they deserve every bit the respect and gratitude that goes with that contribution. My personal approach towards leadership or team dynamics is to maintain an open and highly communicative environment with an open door policy. While this is challenging to maintain as the organization grows, the company and its management are essentially predicated on a personable and approachable environment and we encourage all leaders in the organization to follow that lead. 

2. What are the top 2 benefits you see of creating a Great Workplace? 
It is not till the uber-professionalization of our company’s HR team and processes that we ever even thought in terms of the utilitarian benefits of having a Great Place to Work®. Creating a positive and affirming work environment in very much for me and end goal in itself- apart from any other benefits that might accrue from it. I honestly personally would never have survived all the tough times you face as an entrepreneur if the workplace was not something that gave me joy in and of itself. And it can only be joyous for a boss if his team also projects that sense of positivity If your workplace is a place you feel excited about going to, where you feel supported, challenged, cared for and safe- then half the battle is won. Productivity, high energy, solution-orientation, stability in organizational structures- all of these are the benefits of having a Great Place to Work.

3. What are your top people priorities? 
1. Doctrine of Care: Our employees must feel that beyond a transactional employer-employee relationship, the organization also acts as a familial network ready to lend a hand in a time of need. Creating that sense of support has always been a top priority. 
2. Developing Internal Talent: Our best success stories as a business have been when we have trusted young people with challenges outside of their realm of experience, given enough leeway to learn and make mistakes, and allowed them to thrive and build incredible ownership over their areas of work. People in our organization tend to have a great sense of responsibility towards the company primarily led by the fact that they have grown into those positions of authority and responsibility within our company. Giving internal resources a chance to shine also creates an environment of performance as people believe that there are growth pathways always available.
3. Being flexible in utilisation of people’s skills: While the definition of clear and measurable KRAs is an approach that all organizations, including ours do and must take, Parijat also has believed in imparting flexibility to performers to explore new areas of interest outside of their core jobs and flexibly redeployed our people into areas that suit both their interest and revealed competence. We have discovered surprising skills in places we may not have thought to look only by giving our team a wide berth and an open opportunity to explore different kinds of work and activity areas. 

4. How has your association with Great Place to Work® helped your business and strategic goals? 
The Great Place to Work® association has been particularly helpful to us in our current stage of growth as we expand rapidly the size of our business and staff. Our Core DNA of people practices have needed more formalization and the Great Place to Work® exercise every year forces us to take an introspective view of our own human resource management. More than that it also helps us articulate our policies or practices in more explicit terms in the process of sharing it with a third party. This has helped us tremendously communicate much more effectively internally as well using the structured and articulated communication developed in the process of submitting ourselves to the Great Place to Work® audit. The Great Place to Work® network has also forced us to be more proactive in innovating constantly as we get exposed to some fascinating best practices in different industries which inspire our own new ideas and initiatives. Finally, we wear our Great Place to Work® accreditation like a badge of honor and show it off proudly at all forums as it is a recognition of something we have worked hard towards over several decades.

1. What can your present and potential employees be sure of from a work culture perspective in the organization? 
At Parijat, we strongly believe in the culture of inclusiveness & doctrine of care in all our people practices. People are at the top in our value hierarchy and are treated with high respect, irrespective of age, gender, language, state or country. 

2. What, according to you, is a people challenge your industry is facing?
We belong to a very niche and specialized Industry. So, the biggest challenge is to hire & retain the best talent and to make them future-ready, in order to manage the dynamics of our industry.

3. How are you ensuring a consistent workplace experience FOR ALL your employees, irrespective of their role, age, gender, tenure, etc. in the organization? 
By fostering an open & transparent working culture that allows & encourages everyone to come up with their suggestions or grievances. A complete safety net that inspires people to take new tasks/ challenges. Management is easily approachable, so people at any level can walk to the top management to share thoughts and address concerns. 

4. How has your association with Great Place to Work® helped your business and strategic goals? 
This association allows us to experience new & trending perspective in people management practices. As a result, we have been empowered to implement best people practices that translate into the robust organizational culture.
