PubMatic measures employee satisfaction of the major events during the year through surveys where employees can respond anonymously and the organization can then action that feedback based on inputs received from them. PubMatic seeks manager feedback from employees every quarter which has very specific questions like “Is your team happy?” and “Does your manager encourage you to have fun?”. This feedback is shared with the skip-level manager who then shares it with the manager. Here it is ensured that the feedback is anonymous, and the report is generated only when 2 or more employees respond with their inputs. This directly helps the manager to understand the areas of concern from their employees and act on it immediately.
When employees return to work an after a long leave from maternity or due to sickness, etc., PubMatic has a formal ‘Return to Work’ program to help such employees return to productive employment. It assists them in the task of fully resuming their job responsibilities and providing them the required support from the manager, HR, and co-workers during this process.
All are treated equally. There is nothing like a superior-inferior kind of scenario. As far as I am concerned, I am encouraged and appreciated for my thoughts, work, and contribution to the product. We celebrate birthdays, also have health checkups, parties/surprises regularly. Everyone interacts very well. Even though it has not been even a year for me, it feels like I was here for a long time.
Management Transparency and accountability are great. Also, employee preferences are always given a top priority and their maximum suggestions are given considerations. This is the best part which makes the employee satisfied and longer for him to work in such an organization.
