Parikrma is a Bangalore based non-profit that runs 4 free K-12 schools for 1400+ children from the slums of the city. The children are drawn from 95 slums and 4 orphanages. Parikrma follows an end-to-end model, where children enter Kindergarten at age 5 and are nurtured until they graduate at age 18. The 360-degree development framework followed covers academics, nutrition (3 wholesome meals), comprehensive healthcare (annual general health, dental and eye checkups) and family care programs to ensure stable home environments. Education goes beyond academics and classroom learning, to stimulate critical thinking and questioning. Extra-curriculars such as sports, art and drama flourish
