The Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) brings together human, financial and technical resources to address some of the challenges faced by the poorest and most marginalized communities in the world. It focuses on enhancing human potential, expanding opportunities, and improving quality of life, particularly for women and girls. AKF works in seven key areas: agriculture, climate resilience, enterprise, education, early childhood development, health, and strengthening community institutions. As part of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN), it operates in over 30 countries. AKF began working in India in 1978 and now implements programs across Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Telangana, and Delhi.
