Eventbrite is one of the very few companies that has achieved internet scale business and has geographically distributed teams. Yet, we are able to maintain healthy work-life balance. Unlike most companies, I rarely, if ever, have to take meetings beyond 7:30 PM IST. The culture here is unique. Even my team is spread across multiple time-zones, I never felt the excessive need to exhaust myself. The company has a lot of employee friendly policies. They encourage remote work and more women in tech which is very rare here in India. Special attention is given to the health and well-being of the employees through wellness benefits, sessions and the best part: A Britebreak, i.e., first Friday of every month is off, so that we have at least one long weekend every month to relax and rejuvenate.

Remote-forward culture has enabled me from a tier 2 city to pursue great work from wherever I am without having to relocate to another city. People are not micromanaging here and they empower you with responsibilities and trust you to be accountable. They just look at the results, which is great. Regardless of which team you belong, everyone is so helping and welcoming. Work hours are pretty flexible , we can work on our own time regardless of the routine working hours. Eventbrite knows what each individual can contribute to and are always open for lateral / non lateral move from career point of view. The team is encouraged to have a brand presence outside Eventbrite and are very transparent with the mistakes being done and how to rectify it.
