iTeach Schools runs free, high-impact schools for the most under-resourced children. Our schools function on a Public-private Partnership model, much like the charter schools in other parts of the world. 61% of our students come from homes with one earning member. Most parents are skilled or unskilled contractual workers, which means employment, and hence salaries are inconsistent and not the most dependable. The need for high-quality, excellent education is the highest for these students because it is their one shot at an equal playing field. Our schools run for 42 hours each week (almost 8 hours per day) and our students spend 60% of their time on core academics. 40% of their time is spent on holistic development initiatives like sports and fitness, career awareness, hobby clubs, choice reading program, and time with their Advisor. Reaching out to new employees to make them feel welcome and also ensuring proper training at every level. a. When I joined the organization two months ago, my manager made it a point to call to get to know me better. HR connected the right people with me so that my onboarding was easier. b. For new teachers as well as new employees in leadership roles, the right training with feedback is given for them to grow and progress. c. Lateral as well as vertical growth in the organization is made possible. This organization has no hierarchy that helps.
