Some of the Best People Practices and Initiatives at SEWA Rural include -
Ticket response: SEWA Rural functions on a set of principles and one of them is “Karyakaro no swavikas” (Employee development). Employee development as a principle is adopted to include spiritual development. A system “Samvadthi Swavikas” (dialogue for development) to support identifying developmental needs is adopted. Each head of the department then follows through the training need identification and employee is given training as and when it is possible. 3-4 workshops with overnight stays are held for coordination members, wherein training and development activities of various kind are conducted.
Chitthi: A system of small notes (called “chitthi”) has been in practice since the early days of the organization. All employees are aware about this practice and are encouraged to write their feedback, grievance, and opinions on these small notes which hang on in every office. Employees can even write anonymous notes, have someone else write notes so that handwriting is not picked up and these matters are effectively handled.
