Safety & Environment Day: On the first of every month Shree Cement has a morning meeting which is labelled as ‘Safety & Environment Day’. On this day employees are addressed by the Factory Manager and a representative from the Sr. Management who set the tone for the coming month. Also, each department shares its achievements as wells as misses if any. Awards achieved by the company in the past month are displayed and recognitions of the month are given. The Safety Day is a special event on the 1st of January in which all significant leaders including the Union Leaders address people. The idea behind naming it as ‘Safety Day’ is to consistently emphasize the importance of safety and environmental consciousness in the factory. It is compulsory for all employees, workers, contract workers, union leaders to attend this meeting.
