Parents as Partners: Parents as Partners is their annual flagship programme that celebrates the role parents play in every aspect of our lives. They took this opportunity to thank their employees and show gratitude. During the event, parents got a tour of the campus, interacted with colleagues and leaders, learnt more about the benefits offered by Tesco and were served a sumptuous lunch. Parents were given a customised gift hamper as a takeaway at the start of the event.

Every Little Idea: Every Little Idea initiative was introduced to encourage colleagues to come up with new ideas for improvements to how they work and then learn the skills to implement those changes. The ideas are implemented by teams within or across functions to deliver benefit in terms of people, quality, cost or delivery. There is no restriction on the team or function that proposed an idea. Whatever the role of the colleagues may be, they can suggest solutions for any area that has an impact on colleagues or shoppers at Tesco. More than 2300 ideas were submitted and many have already been implemented. The idea submission portal is open to all colleagues and further support is provided by their team of Continuous Improvement coaches and line manager to ensure the feasibility of the idea to be implemented.
