AWOW- Agile ways of working :
As an organization, we have moved towards reorganizing organization structures and have adopted Agile ways of working- also called as AWOW. ‘Agile methodology of working’ which puts the organizational goal at the center through creation of ‘Agile squads’ which are small multidisciplinary teams that are largely self-managed and are excellent at cross-collaboration and teamwork. Multiple agile squads are collectively called a TRIBE with a Tribe leader assigned to them. Agile way of working has numerous advantages such as quicker reactions to changing customer needs, fewer coordination meetings, more room for initiatives, lesser inter-departmental passing of batons with higher level of responsibilities for teams & individuals. AWOW also means that we have shifted from traditional ways of working to a more flexible approach, with the goal of continuous improvement with 5 core principles of Agile Operating Model i.e.

With the help of Squads and Tribes we ensure that ideas are captured at levels where the multidisciplinary squads gathers ideas and information with a bottom up approach. The squads are tasked to capture ideas across the organization and can create clear plan of action. Thereby, there is a systematic approach for sharing goals and execution of ideas with 3 agile tools . The tribe leaders with their respective squads also govern and track in a systematic way to ensure that idea capturing happens from all across the organization. As a result of agile ways of working , we create shared goals with the squads and tribes which give us tangible business outcomes and lead to innovation.
Hi5 : Creating a digital community through Innovation
At Hero Fincorp , we have created our own digital community to Connect, Engage, Learn, Recognise and Celebrate with our Heroes. With the launch of our very own Engagement mobile App- called as Hi5 that presents our Heroes can now like, comment, share pictures, participate in fun activities as well as instantly appreciate their colleagues for all the great work they do. Furthermore, this app also helps us to reach the last mile by cascading the details of our important organization announcement i.e. quarterly newsletter called communique.. Our biggest fitness event –(HFL)Hero Fitness League is hosted on this very app where live updates on the leadership board are showcased for the participants who come forward to be the champions of fitness league . The app also offers employees some interesting features like work anniversaries, birthdays, Heroes onboard (new joiners in the company ) , special festival contests like Referrals /women’s day /Diwali /Be a Santa activity etc. with the help of this app, it has also helped us to personalize the employee experience by offering Diwali gifts with variety of options as a gift from the company . The employees are given a lot of flexibility to choose their Diwali gifts through this app. This truly helps the employee to select a gift of their choice . The engagement app is true example of employee experience with the aspect of innovation . Serving as a two-way platform , where leadership messages are shared to the larger audience and employee voices are also captured , Hi5 is accessible to employees simply at fingertips, thereby being one of the highest engagement platform for us at Hero Fincorp.
