Maitrayana, a girls' and women’s rights organization, harnesses the power of sport to create empowering ecosystems for girls and young women, enabling them to exercise their rights and reach their potential. Through its programs, Maitrayana addresses societal gender inequality by providing knowledge, skills, attitudes, behavior, and confidence, empowering girls and young women to make and influence decisions. Established as a Section 8 Not-for-Profit organization in 2018, its leadership boasts over 60 years of combined experience in sports-based empowerment. The Young People's Initiative (YPI), launched in October 2021, had impacted over 10,000 girls in Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru till date.
